What a great day!
Had a personal seed delivery today from Native Seed Search via 2 two great guys, interns Raymond (Tohono O’Odham) and Chris (Hopi) which didn’t hesitate to lend a hand and get to work and sowing some of the new seeds in the garden.

Dad had selected a plot on the new garden for Raymond and Chris to sow some seeds. I would say the pot is about 10′ x 12′ in the NE corner of the garden. It was tilled and amended with Tanks Green Stuff compost.

And the seeds the guys selected! Sunflowers: Tarahumara White and Conservation Farm Mix (to provide shade for the other plants and seeds of course). Onions: Tohono O’Odham I’itoi (prolific multiplier onions resemble the wild onions harvested on I’itoi Mountain, also known as Baboquivari Mountain, by Tohono O’odham people). Okra: Guarijo. Tomatillo: Mexicali. Tepary Beans: Yoeme Brown.
Much gratitude to Raymond and Chris! had to leave early, but will update on the progress of the work done today.
